Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
St. Patrick Niagara Falls
Who We Are
History
"Living the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, and joy."
Formed in 1833 in honour of Saint Vincent de Paul, the Saint with a heart for the poor, members of the society went in teams to help the poor in homes, on the streets, in the hospitals and in the asylums, practicing the values to see Christ in anyone who suffers and offer assistance to those in need.
Collaboration
Today, we operate independently and internationally but are responsible to Rome, with over one million "Vincentians" serving needs in 134 countries on 5 continents.
Operating through St. Patrick's Parish in Niagara Falls, we are a grassroots organization committed to turning words into actions. We strive to be a helpline for anyone in Niagara Falls requiring basic needs such as food and clothing, and we distribute assistance by meeting with those in need.
Community
Through our volunteer work, we are committed to several initiatives & projects. These include:
Summer Camps for Local Youth
Outreach Programs
Financial support to Project Share
Assistance to Soup Kitchen
Necessities through St. Vincent's Store
Special Events including a Christmas Program and Delta Bingo events
